The Auckland City Council Music In Parks is back once again this summer with a wide range of music and film based events in and around the city. These free family friendly events are a great way to enjoy our parks and check out a bunch of artists at the same time. Check out whats on offer over at the Music in Parks Site

For Jazz Lovers Christchurch will once again be hosting the New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival in April:

"Christchurch's annual jazz and blues festival will be taking to the city's lanes with two days of Taste Jazz and Taste Blues in Christchurch's Poplar Lane precinct.

The two-day event, designed to appeal to food and music lovers, has been added to the New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival. To round out the week-long event, people will be able to enjoy café lifestyle in a relaxed atmosphere as they listen to live blues on Saturday 10 April and live jazz on Sunday 11 April in Christchurch's top shopping and café precinct - Poplar Lanes."

The full lineup for the festival will be announced February 19.

NZ On Screen have a selection of documentaries made back in 2005 for the C4 Homegrown series online to view which are definitely worth a look. Today's pick from us is Dave Dobbyn, click the link to head over to NZ On Screen to view it.
