Tweeting ain't for me?

Tweeting ain't for me?

Paul Holmes may not be interested in Twitter as he pointed out in his Herald Column over the weekend but many are.

We've been using the service for a while now and find it very useful for disseminating information to those that follow us. It's also a great resource to find things that interest you - in our case things related to NZ Music and music in general.

For those not adverse to reading a tweet or hanging with twits you can find us on twitter here: http://twitter.com/amplifying

Stand feat. Luciano is the first single from the forthcoming album, Hip Hop Lives Here.

Chart Attack

The top ten albums this week all come from somewhere else and it isn't until we hit number 11 on the chart that we come across our first local entrant, Fat Freddy's DropFly My Pretties aren't far behind with A Story sitting at number 13. 7 World's Collide's The Sun Came Out slips from number 9 to 17.

At 21 is Tahuna Breaks album Black, Brown and White and just behind them is new entry Down Falls An Empire from These Four Walls. Another new comer is from dnb exponents The Upbeats whose latest long player Big Skeleton debuts at number 31.

The last local in the top 40 is the Opensouls whose Standing In The Rain after 5 weeks is at number 40.

In the singles chart we have six entries from kiwis, Gin is steady at number 8 with her new single Oh My. J Williams is at number 12, Smashproof are close behind at 14 and Dane Rumble holds the number 16 position.

Electro popsters Kidz in Space are at number 30 with Downtime and Kids Of 88's My House slips one place to 38.

In the compilation charts the The Great NZ Songbook is still there dropping one place this week to number 4.

Have a good music day
