It's a beautiful day

It's a beautiful day

07.08.09

It's a beautiful day and the weekend is but a few hours away... and today we're going to keep it short - we've a record and a bunch of shows for your Friday consideration and a website chock fill of music, video and words for your perusal.

In keeping with today's title and image take a look at Voom's video for their single Beautiful Day from the album Hello, Are You There?

Record of the day and it is a record.

Cobra Khan - Liquid Separation 7"

Cobra Khan's emergence from the wreckage of New Zealand hard hitters Sommerset, Day One and Balance has been well documented. They've played shows big and small over the last few years, building on the live reputation of their previous endeavours to a point where their loyal local following looks forward to Cobra Khan's now somewhat semi-annual live performances.

This 7" features current single Liquid Separation backed with their first single from the Helgorithms album, Shutter.

The packaging was beautifully put together by Luke Hollis and Steve Leggat - and as there have been only 125 copies pressed you'll need to get in quick!
