We have some notable new releases on the site today for this the first week of NZ Music Month...
Release of the Week
Pitch Black - Rhythm, Sound & Movement
Pitch Black recently posted one of their tracks, Harmonia, up for remixing on the web, and after the demand for the files crashed not only the download site, but also the server and the network carrying them, they received 35 fully finished versions! Two of these are among the tracks on Rhythm, Sound & Movement - the Rude Mechanicals remix album (inspired by the lyric from the title track of Rude Mechanicals).
Rhythm, Sound & Movement features remixes from Kiwi electron-herders International Observer, Simon Flower and Kerretta, American dub-tronica artists Bluetech and Patch, Melbourne-based Deep Fried Dub, plus a wide range of international remixers across 14 tracks.
The remix album, like Pitch Black themselves, covers a wide variety of styles from ambient and downbeat dub, right through to 4/4 stomping business and full-on dnb workouts.
Please Note That The Digital Download Version Comes With 6 Bonus Tracks

PNC - Tonight
PNC returns with his latest single off the upcoming album 'Bazooka Kid', due for release on June 2nd.
Produced by Nick '41' MacLaren, Tonight is a clever little Eminem-inspired track with an amazing video to complement it - anyone who is a fan of
gossip magazines shouldn't miss this one! Tonight has a distinctly retro feel and touches on a few of New Zealand's own gossip scandals. No one
escapes PNC's acidic rhymes with the Tony Vietch, Millie Holmes, boy racers and Miranda Kerr earning a mention.
Expect talkback radio outrage as soon as Tonight hits the airwaves.

Boh Runga - Right Here
After six months spent recording in Hollywood with producer Marshall Altman (also responsible for making Brooke Fraser's Albertine), chart-topper Boh is stepping out solo for the first time with this album, which has been preceded by the singles, Starfish Sleeping and Evelyn.
Armed with a guitar, a sketchbook, and her head full of melodies, Boh Runga is at a creative peak and is proud and excited to release her debut solo album.

In keeping with todays blog title... I don't know if they listened to music on the death star but if they did I wonder how MC Stormtroopa's Lord Vader (No Troubs Remix) would have gone down with those in charge?
